Semabung House carries a deep sense of locality, with hints of modernism running through its design. Stone and roster wall bring symmetry to the building, and both are left bare to sharpen that effect rather than soften it. Unlike most traditional houses in Indonesia, the roof is built as a usable rooftop, opened up for multiple purposes.
